Out of all 4 seasons, fall definitely has to be my favorite. Something about the smell of the air, or maybe it’s the wind late at night, maybe because of the leaves changing color and making the city look so beautiful. Whatever the reason, it’s a part of the year that I’m always looking forward to. Not to mention the time of year I’m looking forward to shopping for! Fall fashion is the best and I’m grateful that I live in a climate where we experience each seasons.
Here are my picks for a fashionable Fall 2019:
It’s not fall without sweaters and this year is filled with cozy options. From cashmere to wool, animal prints and frills, this fall is sure to be one to rememeber.
This Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan is definitely a fall staple. It’s a design that has been around for so many years and shows no signs of slowing down. With nearly 3,000 reviews, it’s no secret that it is a favorite of many. Best of all, it’s currently on sale! For something that can go from the office to a fall bonfire, this Something Navy cardigan is sure to impress! Worn alone or cinched at the waist with a belt, this sweater can go with anything in your closet. If you’re feeling more daring and want to keep up with fall 2019 trends, this cardigan also comes in a leopard print! Looking for a throw on and go, pullover sweater? This chenille sweater comes in a variety of colors and is sure to keep you warm and cozy.
The fall season is not complete without a good fall jacket. I love the way that a jacket can really dress up an outfit, and the way that a good biker jacket can give it some edge. For a variety of outfits and occasions, these are are sure to fit the bill.
BLANKNYC has been my go-to brand for moto jackets for a long time, and 2019 is no exception. Their faux leather collarless jacket comes in cream and black and can be dressed up or down. Another option for this year is their similar faux leather drape front jacket. For a something a bit edgier, their suede moto jacket gets the job done. Keeping with the edgy style, I love this Rails military style jacket. Although not exclusive to the fall season, this affordable jean jacket comes in 4 different washes and at only $79, you can pick up more than one wash!
Working in a professional environment, I basically live in a blazer. Although I wear blazers in my day to day at work, I love the way it looks with a pair of dark denim for date night, or dinner with friends. It’s the perfect way to look polished and chic while not over-doing it.
This affordable $59 one button blazer is a great option for a more casual environment. It’s comfortable and won’t break the bank. For something more polished and still professional, this Current/Elliot blazer is sure to impress both in and out of the office. Something about the fall climate makes me think of tweed. It’s a fabric that has never gone out of style. Maybe that has something to do with Chanel, but it has always seemed so luxe to me. This tweed blazer is a bit of an investment, but definitely something that aill stand the test of time. Speaking of investments, this Smythe Duchess blazer is another one that can be worn in and out of the office. It was first made popular by HRH Kate Middleton and has never lost steam!
The epitome of fall is definitely the wool coat. Another style that has come back every single year for decades, I’ve yet to rid of a wool coat because it fell out of fashion. Along with leather jackets, coats are definitely one of the places in my wardrobe that I tend to invest. That being said, many fashion houses are making their own versions so there is a coat for every budget.
This Ted Baker London wrap coat will surely fit into your wardrobe. It’s currently on sale and comes in 3 different colors. For another jacket that keeps coming back, year after year, this Cole Haan woven coat (also currently on sale!) will help you dress to impress no matter where you’re headed. For a more casual approach without sacrificing style, this Pendleton waterproof wool blend jacket will help you brave all the different weather fall has to offer. There’s no better time to bring out a trench than the fall. London Fog has been a go-to brand for me for years and definitely stands the test of time. Their timeless trench looks a lot more expensive than it is and is functional to boot!
